Volunteering

We invite volunteers to come and work with us at Ave Azul de la Osa.

At Ave Azul there is a lot to do everyday. You can help clean cages (occasionally) and play with the young birds who need to be challenged and exercised. You’ll learn everything about large parrots, conservation, research, and captive breeding. At the same time you’ll help us with the daily running of the farm and special projects. Patrick and Rubyann will host you, and give you an unforgettable experience at Ave Azul de la Osa.

Green Life Volunteers

Green Life Volunteers is a Costa Rican volunteer organization, placing volunteers in projects around the country. Projects include teaching English, animal rescue, turtle conservation, organic farming, and reforestation projects.

If you’d like to volunteer with Ave Azul de la Osa, just contact Green Life Volunteers. They will set everything up for you and coordinate your stay. You may be picked up at the airport if you wish, and they’ll set up transportation and accommodation for you.

Frontier

Frontier is an international volunteer organization with lots of projects around the world. They have a rainforest research camp near Ave Azul de la Osa, where volunteers are working year around. Through Frontier you can come and volunteer at Ave Azul.
