Ave Azul de la Osa is a federally licensed Avicultural compound, supporting conservation through captive propagation. Ave Azul’s conservation efforts are in association with Bird jungle of Kauai, a former endangered species breeding facility in Hawaii, USA. Bird Jungle of Kauai’s mission was to increase numbers and enhance the current status of many rare and endangered species of birds through captive breeding programs.

As a result of positions that range from General Curator to Executive Director including Curator of exhibits, professional consultant in designing captive animal habitats, quarantine facilities, commissaries, procurement and transport of exotic animals and birds, management and administration his knowledge spans the field.

Our 700 sq.ft. guest house is available for rental all year around. It is fully equipped, clean, and quiet, and perched above a pristine jungle stream on 250 acres of private Corcovado National park reserve. Equipped with solar for refrigeration and propane range it accommodates 4 – 6 guests. There is a main room with a queen-sized bed, and the loft area above also has a queen-sized bed to accommodate 2 additional guests. There is also a private ensuite bathroom.
